After 20 Years, North Metro Home & Garden Show Ends its Run

After 20 Years, the North Metro Community Home & Garden Show will Not Continue
The North Metro Community Home & Garden Show held its final event on Jan 27, 2018.

"We wish to thank the many sponsors, exhibitors, city staff, and members of our communities for their support and attendance over the past twenty years," read an official statement on the organization's website.

The North Metro Community Home and Garden Show was an annual and free home improvement event sponsored by the cities of Blaine, Columbia Heights, Fridley, and Mounds View. All of the sponsoring cities had staff on hand to answer questions about housing, development and city planning.

The decision to end the show's run was made due to several factors, a gradual decline in attendance being one of them.

This winter, Columbia Heights will hold its first City Services Expo and Town Hall Meeting at the Columbia Heights Public Library March 2, from 11 am to 2 pm, where many of the same staff members who helped answer questions at the Home and Garden Show will be on hand to talk with residents. More details coming soon.
