History of Columbia Heights Program is Oct 13 at Library

History of Columbia Heights Program is Oct 13, 1 pm, at the Columbia Heights Public Library
Join the Anoka County Historical Society for a special history program commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Columbia Heights Public Library.

Drop by the library's Community Room Saturday, Oct 13, 1 pm, 3939 Central Ave NE, and relive local history from the beginnings of Columbia Heights and Hilltop when they were located in their own tiny county of Manomin.

This visual tour through historical photographs will be accompanied by stories about getting around during the dry days of Prohibition, a World War II hero who was elected mayor, a contest to name Columbia Heights, and a little red wagon, which formed the beginnings of the first public library in Columbia Heights. No registration required.
