The second round of fall street sweeping begins Mon, Nov 5, and continues as long as the weather allows. It would greatly assist the sweepers if residents are able to move vehicles to driveways or garages (if available) until the street has been swept. This allows full curb-to-curb pickup of leaves and debris, helps the environment by removing leaves before they get into the waterways, and minimizes flooding caused by plugged storm sewer grates.
Also, please avoid raking leaves into the street. That makes it harder for crews to complete sweeping and contributes to drainage clogs.
