Dispose Sensitive Documents at Saturday's Shredding Event, 10 am-noon
This Sat, Oct 12, the City of Columbia Heights and the Columbia Heights Lions will be hosting a free shredding event outside Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St NE, from 10 am to noon, with a bulk shredding machine available on site. Residents are encouraged to bring documents for shredding. Shredding sensitive documents instead of throwing them in the trash or in the recycling is a good way to help prevent identity theft.

Before the shredding event, the Columbia Heights Lions will also be hosting their fall Adopt-a-Highway cleanup event at 9 am. Volunteers will meet at Murzyn Hall and then head over to University Ave to pick up garbage along the road between 37th Ave and 53rd Ave. Call (612) 760-4463 or meet at Murzyn Hall at 9 am if you'd like to volunteer.
