Master Recyclers Visit Energy Center

The master recyclers recently completed a tour of the Hennepin Energy Recovery Center. The Center burns trash to make electricity. The master recycler members learned about how trash can be burned efficiently to produce electricity and steam for the downtown district. They also learned about what should not be put in the trash such as hazardous waste, which should be taken to the free drop-off centers in each county.
