Fire Department Open House is Oct 9
With Fire Prevention Month in October, the Columbia Heights Fire Department kicks off its autumn fire prevention season with its annual Open House on Sat, Oct 9, from 11 am to 2 pm. This free family-friendly event gives kids a chance to spray a fire hose, watch a live-fire demonstration, view firefighter equipment, and more!
Attendees will also have a chance to meet with fire and police officials, see Dalmatians, and play in a bounce house. Free ice cream treats, smoke detectors, and pumpkins will be available, while supplies last.
The event will be held at the Public Safety Building, 825 41st Ave NE, Columbia Heights. An estimated 350 people stopped by for the annual event in 2019, and we hope to see returning visitors as well as new faces for our 2021 event!
