Building Permit Applications Now Online

The City of Columbia Heights Community Development Department has launched an online building permit application for residents and contractors. You can submit a building permit application here. For more information, please contact the Community Development Department at 763-706-3670.

Highlights of the Online Application Process:

• Some scopes are approved instantly (e.g.: furnace, air conditioning, water heater, roofing, siding, window replacements).
• You can submit all your paperwork online such as plans, surveys, and spec sheets.
• You can pay for the building permit(s) online.
• If the contractor’s information is not up-to-date and/or requires the contractor's license, you will need to contact the office to submit the information/application.
