Youth Commission Application Deadline is Sept 9

Ten seats are open on the Columbia Heights Youth Commission for the term beginning Oct 1, 2022. New members will join the 10 returning members appointed last winter by the City Council. Applications can be found at www.columbiaheightsmn.gov/youth. Email applications to sion@columbiaheightsmn.gov. Or mail or deliver completed applications to City Hall, 590 40th Ave NE (mailed applications must arrive by Sept 9). Or drop off applications at the Columbia Heights Library.

Applications submitted later than Sept 9, 2022, will be ineligible. Applicants must be between the ages of 14-18 by the start of their term and residents of Columbia Heights.

-Apply by end-of-day Sept 9, 2022
-Final selections made by Council Sept 26
-First meeting for new members is Oct 12
-First meeting after summer break for existing members is Sept 14
-The commission meets at 6 pm on the second Wednesday of each month through May at City Hall
