Fire Prevention Open House Is Oct 15

To promote fire safety, Columbia Heights Fire would like to invite you to the Public Safety Building's fire station Oct 15, 11 am to 2 pm. Kids, young and old, can spray a real fire hose, meet dalmatians, enjoy free ice cream, watch a fire demonstration, meet local firefighters, grab a free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, and more!

The Columbia Heights Fire Department will host its annual Fire Prevention Open House as part of Fire Prevention Week, Oct 9-15. This year’s FPW campaign “Fire Won't Wait. Plan Your Escape!” reminds everyone to establish or review escape routes from their home in the event of a fire. Knowing exactly where to go when the alarm sounds will help ensure your family makes it outside safely. This is the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week!
